
I mean, they could go old-school 90’s movie style and have Colin narrate, but they could have also taken all the dialog directly out of TFIOS and put it into the movie. These three things can not be set into movie format. I mean, people who haven’t read the book won’t understand that the flashbacks are essential to the story unless there’s narration (see reason #1.) And I don’t know about you, but I find flashbacks semi-irritating.It would be extremely difficult to include the footnotes in the movie (but not impossible…).Colin Singleton’s constant narration is a must.Let’s rack off the reasons the movie wouldn’t be good: Let me lay out the factors of what makes the book so wonderful: But think: would it make a good movie?
